It's time to cover the last part of the Pieterpad through the beautiful hilly landscape around Maastricht. This route runs from the edge of Valkenburg through the hills to Maastricht. On this route you can enjoy both the natural beauty and the charm of the city center of Maastricht.
Cozy Bemelen
The first part of this route takes you from Valkenburg to Bemelen and on to the outskirts of Maastricht. The landscape here consists of rolling green meadows, small forest areas and hilltops that give you a beautiful view of the surrounding area. Bemelen is a gem in the hills around Maastricht. You will find several cozy restaurants here where you can enjoy a snack and a drink and fun activities are regularly organized here. For example, go fossil hunting in a limestone quarry from Bemelen.
