Esch is a village just outside Boxtel in Brabant. You can enjoy beautiful walks here through a natural and peaceful environment.
Sparrenrijk estate
From the old village center of Esch you walk into the countryside. You walk past meadows and fields. Just above Boxtel you walk onto the Sparrenrijk Estate. This area is characterized by a pattern of straight, tree-lined avenues in a rectangular pattern. You mainly see conifers and a few meadows. Woodpeckers breed in the forest, and it is always nice to hear their drumming.
Historical buildings
On your route you will also pass some sights. For example, near junction 59 is the picturesque gatehouse of the Den Eikenhorst country estate, dating from 1909. A little further on is Breeacker, an eighteenth-century farm. North of Esch you cross the Essche Stroom twice, a river of seven kilometers. Back in Esch, you can enjoy a coffee and something tasty, lunch or dinner at Ons Café.
