Your route starts at MyHotel Steenwijk. Steenwijk is a former fortified town. Be surprised by the rich history: Steenwijk has more than 60 national monuments, including De Markt and the city canals. Just east of Giethoorn you pass through the historic landscape of De Bramen with its undeveloped meadows and blue grassland. De Klosse is a hamlet that grew up around a toll house.
