Enjoy the South Limburg Maas Valley

You start and end this route at the cycling and walking terrace De Witte Börstel. You will pass through Waterval, a picturesque hamlet where time seems to have stood still. In this region you will see some of the characteristic half-timbered farms that South Limburg is known for. A little further on you will see Elsloo Castle, the eye-catcher of the protected village view in Elsloo. Along the Juliana Canal you cycle downstream to Urmond. The original village centre is wedged between the Maas and the Juliana Canal and offers you a beautiful view of the history of this town. In Meers you cycle a bit along a meander of the Maas, which forms the border between Belgium and the Netherlands here.
