Get a breath of fresh air on Texel

The first kilometers you drive through the woods and dunes on the west side of Texel. A wonderfully quiet area where the kilometers seem to slip under your wheels, especially if you have the wind at your back. From the IJsdijk you have beautiful views over the Wadden Sea. Don't forget to look to the right as you cycle past the Dijkmanshuizen bird sanctuary. At the cozy Bospaviljoen 't Turfveld you can relax with a drink and snack. In addition to its natural beauty and rich history, Texel is known for its sheep fines, or sheep sheds. In the Texel meadow landscape you can also see characteristic garden walls and white-green farmhouses.
