Get a breath of fresh air on Texel

The first kilometers you drive through the forests and dunes on the west side of Texel. A wonderfully quiet area where the kilometers seem to pass under your wheels, especially if you have the wind at your back. From the IJsdijk you have beautiful views of the Wadden Sea. Don't forget to look to the right, you are cycling past the Dijkmanshuizen bird sanctuary. You can relax with a drink and a snack at the cozy Bospaviljoen 't Turfveld. In addition to its natural beauty and rich history, Texel is known for its sheep pens, or sheep sheds. In the Texel meadow landscape you also see characteristic garden walls and white-green bell-shaped farms.
