In the Alblasserwaard you can enjoy a day of cycling through a beautiful wide polder landscape that is dotted with cultural-historical sights and waterways. Here you will also find the world-famous Kinderdijk Windmills, which have been on the UNESCO World Heritage List since 1997. Enjoy this typical Dutch view at your leisure, because there are no cars around this area. You cycle through the Alblasserwaard, a peat area that mainly consists of meadows crossed by countless ditches. It is wonderfully quiet cycling here! Along the way you can take a break, drink coffee and have lunch at Café Eeterij't Centrum in Streefkerk. You cycle along the Lek to Nieuwpoort and then cross the old towns of Brandwijk and Goudriaan and then end up at the De Vriendschap mill.
