Bocholtz is a Limburg church village nestled on three sides between the German border. This route takes you through the village and the hills. First, you'll enter nature, where pavement and asphalt give way to sandy paths. At the end of Molenweg, you'll walk a short distance across the border. On the left is Germany, and on the right, the Platte Bosch. This relatively unknown nature reserve boasts a variety of soil types, allowing you to discover a wide variety of trees, shrubs, and plants. Next, you'll walk along mostly quiet paths around Bocholtzerheide, after which you'll visit the park bordering the sixteenth-century De Bongard Castle. In Bocholtz itself, you'll pass several historic buildings, such as the Jacobus de Meerdere church and the rectory. The route ends at Lunchcafe Oud Bocholtz.
