Tour through the dunes near Katwijk

Your cycling route starts at Madame Rose. Between Noordwijk and Rijnsburg you cycle past two windmills. The first mill on the route is the Hoogewegse Molen from 1652. This mill served as a polder mill for centuries. The mill is still operational, but nowadays it is only used by volunteers. Hoop Doet Leven from 1783 is the second mill you cycle past on this route. On Saturday you can visit this mill. On the outskirts of Wassenaar you will find the Vreeburg estate. On this estate there is a white plastered tower from the 19th century with a house built against it in 1986. Admire this historic tower and then cycle back to the starting point of the route, straight through the dunes.
