The cycle route starts and ends in Eerbeek. The Kröller-Müller Museum houses 90 paintings and 180 drawings by Van Gogh (1853-1890), it is the second largest collection in the world. Vincent van Gogh is Helene Kröller-Müller's favorite painter. She praises the sentiment from which he paints.
From Paris,'out for other Van Goghs\\\', she writes about the paintings:"The most beautiful is an olive grove. So soft and intimate and such a complete large painting\\\ ".
Vincent van Gogh himself wrote to Theo in 1882: "I sometimes long to make a landscape, just like to take a long walk to refresh myself and I see in all of nature, for example in trees, expression and as't were a soul\\\".
The cycle route goes from Eerbeek to Hoenderloo. Junction 14 is at the entrance (1 of 3) of De Hoge Veluwe National Park. From here you cycle on to Museum Kröller-Müller, the visitor center with Museonder and/or Jactslot Sint Hubertus. Returning from junction 14, you cycle past Deelen Air Base and through Veluwezoom National Park. A beautiful and interesting cycle route with a visit to many works by Van Gogh.
