Eemmeer
The starting point of this route is at a parking lot on the edge of Huizen. From here you cycle through the center of Huizen to Blaricum. In the center of Huizen you will find numerous historic farms and other centuries-old buildings. Just outside the center you will find several original fishermen's houses. In Blaricum you will also find many old farms. Then you cycle on to Spakenburg. In this old fishing village you will get to know the historic center of the town and the harbors that used to be full of boats.
Back to Houses
From Spakenburg you cycle through Bunschoten and Eemnes back to Blaricum. Then you cycle along the Blaricummerheide, the Tafelbergheide and De Huizer Eng back to the starting point of the route.
The Huizer Eng
Southwest of Huizen you will find the Huizer Eng. This nature reserve consists of small fields that are also called engen. These fields are bordered by a forest and the area transitions into the Tafelbergheide. In the past, mainly buckwheat and rye were grown here, but nowadays, for example, asparagus is also grown. You regularly see all kinds of songbirds here.
