Enjoy a day of cycling around the Veerse Meer lake, amidst natural beauty. You'll start at the edge of the Goudplaat nature reserve. From the dike, you'll look out over the rippling water. You'll see a few islands dotting the lake; these are protected nature reserves. On the horizon, the fifteenth-century church tower of Kortgene appears. This is the only building to have survived the All Saints' Flood of 1532 (which submerged all of Noord-Beveland). At junction 24, you can take a ferry during peak season to shorten the route slightly. You'll cycle through the De Piet nature reserve to Veere. Stop here to soak up the unique atmosphere. You're welcome to enjoy a delicious meal at Brasserie Fine, after which you'll cycle back to Noord-Beveland via Vrouwenpolder and over the Veerse Dam.
Below you will find various suggestions for breaks that you can visit during your route. These are divided into different categories, making it easy for you to choose.
