Cycling route Nijkerk, Spakenburg and Hulkesteinse Bos

You start this route at the edge of the Nuldernauw. You'll cycle leisurely towards Nijkerk. Around St. Catherine's Church, dating from 1540, you'll find a historic atmosphere. Spakenburg is the next stop on your route. This former fishing village once lay on the Zuiderzee. In the historic center, you'll see houses reminiscent of that era. You'll also find Bar- en Eetcafe De Kajuit here, where you can enjoy a delicious meal. Then you'll cycle along the Nijkerkernauw. On your right, you'll look out over the Arkenheem polder. Here you'll see, among other things, a steam pumping station dating from 1883. Finally, on the other side of the water, you'll cycle a few kilometers across Flevoland. Here you'll cycle through the Hulkesteinse Bos, which boasts diverse vegetation.
