Tour along the water from Abcoude

This route takes you from Ollie\\\'S Coffee And More in Abcoude. You first cycle to beautiful Baambrugge and then straight through the Vinkeveense Plassen on the Baambrugse Zuwe, the former mining axis. Thanks to the marinas and villas, this road is nicknamed the Millionaire Mile. It is wonderful to cycle on the dikes in the Groene Hart. Along meandering rivers you see a vast landscape where cows graze quietly and the farms are picturesque. The Demmerik neighborhood was probably founded in the eleventh century by descendants of Danish Vikings. The windmills are also included: just past Wilnis you will pass the Veenmolen, a flour mill from 1823. Near Amstelhoek you can stop at the Fort at Uithoorn, which is part of the Defense Line of Amsterdam.
