Tour along the water from Abcoude

This route takes you from Ollie\\\'S Coffee And More in Abcoude. You first cycle to the beautiful Baambrugge and then straight through the Vinkeveense Plassen over the Baambrugse Zuwe, the former development axis. Thanks to the marinas and villas, this road is nicknamed the Millionaire Mile. It is wonderful to cycle over the dikes in the Groene Hart. Along meandering rivers you see a wide landscape where the cows graze peacefully and the farms look picturesque. The hamlet of Demmerik was probably founded in the eleventh century by descendants of Danish Vikings. The mills are also not lacking: just past Wilnis, for example, you pass the Veenmolen, a corn mill from 1823. Near Amstelhoek you can take a break at the Fort at Uithoorn, which is part of the Defence Line of Amsterdam.
