You'll walk through tranquil dune forests, past heathlands, and across drifting dunes. The landscape undulates occasionally, but with so much beauty around you, it takes little effort to move forward on the shell path. In the lee, it can be wonderfully quiet; you'll only hear the wind and a few birds. This is how walking was meant to be.

Bergen by the Sea
You'll walk along the edge of Bergen aan Zee, the only village on your route. On Verspyckweg, you'll pass the historic Zeehuis, a former convalescent home for children dating back to 1908.
