From the cozy De Jongens - a restaurant, ice cream parlor, chocolaterie and B&B - in Rockanje - you get to know the South Holland double island Voorne-Putten. First you cycle into Voornes Duin, a beautiful dune area. You will also find flowery dune grasslands, dune forests and moist valleys. Through the forests you cycle with a bend towards Oostvoorne, a seaside resort on the island of Voorne. In the village is the well-preserved ruin of the Burcht van Voorne, also called Jacoba Burcht. On the Molendijk you see Molen Oostvoorne, a corn mill from 1821. At the end of the'60s the mill no longer turned but after a major restoration in 2004 the mill was suitable for turning again. The route continues to the fortified town of Brielle. From the Schrijversdijk you have a beautiful view of the fortification belt of the town.
