A cycling tour around Voorne

From the charming De Jongens—a restaurant, ice cream parlor, chocolate shop, and B&B—in Rockanje, you'll discover the South Holland twin island of Voorne-Putten. First, you'll cycle into Voornes Duin, a beautiful dune area. You'll also find flower-rich dune grasslands, dune forests, and moist valleys. Through the woods, you'll curve towards Oostvoorne, a seaside resort on the island of Voorne. In the village stands the well-preserved ruin of Voorne Castle, also known as Jacoba Castle. On the Molendijk, you'll see Molen Oostvoorne, a corn mill dating from 1821. In the late 1960s, the mill stopped working, but after a major restoration in 2004, it was fit for operation again. The route continues to the fortified town of Brielle. From the Schrijversdijk, you have a beautiful view of the town's fortified belt.
