Would you like to cycle on the course of the Amstel Gold Race, but you don't like cycling between a large group of other cyclists? Then cycle your own race at a self-chosen time over part of the Amstel Gold Race course. The entire course consists of three loops that take you through the hilly South Limburg landscape, of which this is the last loop.
Steep climbs in a beautiful landscape
This route takes you over the so-called'finish round\\\' of the Amstel Gold Race. This route consists of the last kilometers of the competition course. Along the way you encounter tough climbs. That takes some perseverance, but you do get beautiful views of the hills in return. This route is probably a bit too difficult if you are a novice cyclist. If you cycle regularly, this route is a nice challenge.
The Cauberg as a conclusion
The start of this route is in Valkenburg. From here you descend to Maastricht and then it is time to visit the Limburg hills south of Maastricht. You cycle a bit along the Belgian border and you climb the Wolfsberg and the Loorberg, among others. The last part of this route consists of successive climbs with the grande finale of the climb of the Cauberg.
Prefer to try a different loop? If you are looking for an easier route you can go for
Loop 1 . The climbs on this route are a lot less steep, making the route more suitable for novice cyclists.
Loop 2 is the hardest and the longest route, if you're looking for even more of a challenge. You can of course also combine these routes with each other by cycling them one after the other.
