Tour of Beers-Langenboom-Mill

Are we still in the Netherlands? This day of walking around the Gulperberg feels more like a holiday abroad! Along the way you will discover - in addition to magnificent views - the Gulp valley, the beautiful village of Mechelen, a water mill and a nice half-timbered farmhouse for the much-needed coffee and pie.

Gulperberg
With this walking route you can enjoy beautiful views on the Gulperberg. You walk on narrow roads lined by deciduous trees. Soon you descend towards the village of Party - over a steep road that racing cyclists like to use for training. You cross the Gulp stream: now you immediately know how the Gulperberg and the village of Gulpen got their name! This water is a side stream of the famous Geul and is also called Kleine Geul.

Half-timbered farmhouse
You follow the meandering Gulp to the ancient village of Mechelen. As soon as you cross the Gulp again you will see a half-timbered farm: Hotel Hoeve de Plei, a perfect spot for coffee with real Limburg pie. Take a seat on the sunny terrace in the courtyard, in the shady garden or in one of the cozy corners inside by the fireplace. Before you leave, take a look at the Onderste Molen, the water mill across the street!
