Description
Your route starts at Restaurant Beach West. You are immediately in a unique dune area: Voornes Duin. You cycle a nice round around Rockanje and then head for the Haringvlietdam, where you enter Goeree-Overflakkee. Another former island, just like Voorne-Putten! Here you discover Stellendam, a beautiful village. A little further on you cycle through Goedereede, the real highlight of this route. Get off at the Haven, here time seems to have stood still a bit. You see many monumental houses from the seventeenth and eighteenth centuries. The church tower dates from 1512, until 1912 it was also used as a lighthouse. The large village church dates from 1708. You cross the Haringvliet and cycle back through the dunes at Rockanje.
