Cycling around Nijmegen

Nijmegen not only has a beautiful old city center, but also other neighborhoods and city parks that are worth seeing. This cycle route takes you through the Goffert Park, constructed between 1935 and 1939 as part of job creation. No machines were allowed to be used, all work was done by hand. Nearby you can take a look inside CUBE Store Nijmegen. Further on you drive through the forests of Heumensoord and Elshof. You follow the course of the Maas-Waal Canal for a few kilometers, after which you drive onto the Waalkade: one of the most iconic places in Nijmegen. Here you will see the Besiendershuis from 1525. Further on you will pass the historic Valkhof Park with the Sint-Nicolaaskapel from 1030. You will make a stop at Banketbakkerij Chocolaterie Looijenga before you drive back to the starting point.
