You can cycle beautifully around Ommen and Dalfsen. The Vecht winds its way through a picturesque landscape in which past times have been preserved. First you drive to charming Ommen. If you cross the Vecht, you will pass De Konijnenbelt, a former corn mill from 1806. In picturesque Vilsteren you will see many beautiful houses and farms. Near the town of Rechteren is the castle of the same name, the only medieval castle that has been preserved in Overijssel. Get off at Restaurant De Witte Gans! Dalfsen is a cozy village in which you can still see many old farms and stately buildings. At junction 8 you will pass De Stokte, a watchtower about 20 meters high. From the top you have a beautiful view over the Vechtdal.
