Take a beautiful walk through nature and along Fort Sint Pieter from 1702. Occasionally you have views of one of the few calcareous grasslands that the Netherlands still has. Plants like wild marjoram and red eyebright grow there. You will also find Christoffel herb here. This plant is named after the patron saint of hikers. You couldn't wish for a safer walk. After about six kilometers you pass some beautiful monumental buildings, such as the castle-like Huis de Torentjes. Now the imposing residence of André Rieu.
