Enjoy cycling through Northeast Groningen

In Northeast Groningen you can take another nice bike ride through a wide and quiet landscape. There is no shortage of cultural history: you pass through a number of characteristic towns with beautiful old churches. You start at Hotel Ekamper, which is located just below Roodeschool. A wonderful base for a nice bike ride in the vast Groningen landscape. If you want to discover more of the area, you can spend the night here and enjoy a snack and a drink in the restaurant. During this route you will pass Appingedam, a picturesque old village where you almost stumble over the national monuments. Get off here every now and then to take a good look at the characteristic buildings. After enjoying the view for a few kilometers over the dike along the Ems, you bend back into the polder.
