Description
Zeist is a beautiful destination if you want to enjoy nature and history for a long day. There are many stately old buildings to admire in the village, such as Slot Zeist. And from Zeist you can drive straight into the beautiful nature of the Utrechtse Heuvelrug National Park.
Cape Forests
You drive through the heart of the Utrechtse Heuvelrug. In this national park, heathlands, open sandy plains and deciduous and coniferous forests alternate in a gently sloping landscape. It is a wonderful area to relax and leave the hustle and bustle of everyday life behind you. You will pass through the old Cape Forests, among other things. Here you will see traces from a distant past, such as burial mounds and old border walls.
Utrecht country estates
The Utrechtse Heuvelrug is already an old recreational area. You will pass some beautiful centuries-old country estates, such as Huis Maarsbergen, which dates from 1660.
