Zeist is a beautiful destination if you want to enjoy a long day of nature and history. In the village you can admire many stately old buildings, such as Slot Zeist. And from Zeist you can drive straight into the beautiful nature of the Utrechtse Heuvelrug National Park.
Cape Forests
You drive through the heart of the Utrechtse Heuvelrug. In this national park, heathlands, open sandy plains and deciduous and coniferous forests alternate in a slightly undulating landscape. It is a wonderful area to relax and leave the hustle and bustle of everyday life behind you. You will pass through the old Kaapse Bossen, among other things. Here you will see traces from a distant past, such as burial mounds and old boundary walls.
Utrecht country estates
The Utrechtse Heuvelrug is already an old recreation area. You will pass several beautiful centuries-old country estates, such as Huis Maarsbergen dating from 1660.
