Cycling through the Groningen Reitdiep area

Immediately when you cycle out of Winsum, you experience the endless views and silence that you associate with Groningen. This region has never known peat extraction and industrialization. More than 25 centuries of habitation and struggle against the water have created a beautiful landscape here. You drive a few kilometers along the Reitdiep. In Groningen you cycle through the Noorderplantsoen. The adjacent Korreweg is one of the most beautiful streets in Groningen to cycle through. Time enough? Then drive into the city center of Groningen. At the Vismarkt you can see the Korenbeurs, among other things. This building is one of the top 100 Dutch UNESCO monuments. On the edge of the city you will discover the Wilhelmina, a flour mill from 1907. The route ends at Marenland Recreatie, where you can relax with a snack and drink after the tour.
