Meandering through the Limburg countryside

Your route starts in the small Banholt. You will see many more lovely little villages like this today! In Slenaken you will see some beautiful old farms, the Sint Remigius church dates from 1783. A little later you cycle through the Gulpdal, one of the most beautiful stream valleys in the Netherlands. Flowery grasslands, sloping forests, it is beautiful here! At the hamlet of Ulvend you briefly touch the Belgian border. Via the pleasant Noorbeek you cycle to Mheer, declared one of the ten most beautiful villages in the Netherlands. For example, you will see the seventeenth-century Sint-Lambertus church, with the fourteenth-century Kasteel van Mheer behind it. Take a break along the way at Brasserie de Grens, between Mesch and Esijden! You cycle back along the edge of the Savelsbos, Sint Geertruid and the Bemelerberg.
