Your route starts at Hotel't Zwaantje. Via Oudesluis you cycle to Kolhorn, here you will find the nice museum De Turfschuur. Also take a look at the Laurenskerk. Then you cycle to Schagen. Regional Museum 1940-1945 is located in one of the castle towers of Schagen Castle. The towers date from the Middle Ages! Museum Battle of the Somme 1914-1918 can be found in the other castle tower: the only museum in the Netherlands about the First World War. The octagonal Hargermolen dates from 1804. The Hargerpolder and the Pettemerpolder are still partly drained by it, on a voluntary basis. On the coast at Petten you can enjoy beautiful views over the sea. Take a moment to watch the waves rolling onto the beach, wonderfully relaxing!
Below you will find various suggestions for breaks that you can visit during your route. These are divided into different categories, making it easy for you to choose.
