This route starts with flat terrain along the Dortmunder Ems canal. From the Nasses Dreieck the route goes into the Teutoburg Forest with various climbs that alternate with rolling paths that run along the flanks of the area. The turning point is the town of Brochterbeck. The way back has the same quality, although the climb to the konigsessel is tough immediately after Brochterbeck. The last part goes along the DE canal again. The route can be classified as light to moderate for MTB.
