Cycle route Oosterbeek, Ginkelse Heide and Planken Wambuis

From Park Klarenbeek you first cycle to the old Sonsbeekpark. Further on you cycle a bit over Landgoed Mariendaal with its undulating meadows and leafy lanes. Through the forests you cycle on to Wolfheze, after which you soon reach the vast Ginkelse Heide with its beautiful views. Near the sheepfold you pass the place where hundreds of paratroopers were dropped in September 1944 with the aim of conquering the Rijnburg near Arnhem. How they fared, you can hear at L55. Along the Edense Heide and Valenberg you cycle to Planken Wambuis, one of the most beautiful forests on the Veluwe. Finally, from junction 97 you cycle over Landgoed Warnsborn and through the forests of Schaarsbergen. After getting off you can enjoy a delicious meal at Bloem Arnhem.
