Cycling through Waalre, Heeze and the forests

From the edge of Dommelen you cycle eastwards. You cross the Dommel, around the junction you cycle through the historic hamlet of Loon. At the Markt in Waalre you see on the right some beautiful mansions from the end of the nineteenth century. They were built by order of a textile manufacturer. In the neighbouring village of Aalst you see, among other things, the Aalstermolen from 1904. The neo-Gothic Onze-Lieve-Vrouw Presentation Church dates from 1906. Then you cycle through the forests of the northern part of the Groote Heide. You also pass the Meeuwven. In Heeze you can take a break at Tapperij De Zwaan. Enjoy a cosy terrace here, before you make more kilometres in the Groote Heide and the adjacent Leenderbos. Finally, just past junction 96 you pass the Venbergse Watermolen.
