Your route starts at Recreation Center Adelhof. You will make a beautiful round through Wilhelminaoord and Frederiksoord, founded by the Maatschappij van Weldadigheid. They have now been declared World Heritage, beautiful places to get a taste of the atmosphere. Be sure to visit Museum De Proefkolonie! A large part of the De Eese estate is privately owned. On the estate is an old castle that was probably built at the beginning of the seventeenth century. An old country house and a large barn stand as silent sentinels at the castle. A small part of De Eese, the Eeserveld, is maintained by Staatsbosbeheer. Here you will mainly see many forests, which envelop the burial mounds in this part of De Eese. At a heathland, the trees part to offer a beautiful view.
