Tour Callantsoog and Groote Keeten

Your route starts at Paviljoen8/Vakantiepark De Nollen. From your starting point, you walk along the old dikes and quiet country roads behind the North Holland coast. In spring, tulips, daffodils and hyacinths bloom in abundance on the bulb fields. But you will also find very special new nature, such as the Zandpolder. Former bulb fields have made way for rare plants here. Birds know how to find this area well, such as waders, ducks and herons. You will hardly find natural dunes here, those of Callantsoog are artificial. But at the small Abbestede, nollen suddenly appear: old dunes that you used to encounter everywhere here. The area has been expanded by nature managers and ponds have been dug to imitate the gullies of the past. A must for bird watchers, especially during the migration period.
