Between Schipborg and Anlo, it is wonderful to walk through the Drentsche Aa National Park. Just past Schipborg, you enter the Strubben-Kniphorstbos. This nature reserve owes the first part of its name to the many stumps (also called strubben) of felled oaks. The second part of the name comes from Gerrit Kniphorst. He had the former heathland reclaimed in the nineteenth century. Since then, the landscape has remained virtually unchanged. The village green of Anloo enjoys a protected village view. Here you can see, among other things, the beautiful Sint-Magnus church. Just outside the village, you walk along the valley of the Anlooerdiepje. After crossing the stream, you walk past the Schipborg estate. Further on, you cross the Schipborgse Diep (or the Drentsche Aa) at an idyllic spot. The route ends at Camping De Vledders.
