Your route starts at Polderflora Camping. In the countryside of Zoetermeer it is great to cycle through the open polder landscape of the Groene Hart. Here you will find beautiful old villages, beautiful mills and a surprising amount of peace. Bentwoud is a young forest in which space has also been made for flowery grasslands and marsh. With over 800 hectares, this is the largest contiguous forest area in the Randstad. The Zoetermeerse Plas a little further on is an old sand extraction of 40 meters deep. On the north side of the lake you cycle right past the Prielenbos, a nice rough swamp forest. On the Weipoortseweg you have a beautiful view of the Weipoortse Vliet and the many beautiful seventeenth-century farms that the hamlet of Weipoort is rich in. In Hazerswoude-Dorp you can admire the beautiful village church from 1646.
