Your route starts at Polderflora Camping. First you drive to Museumpark Archeon, in Alphen aan den Rijn. Here you wander through prehistory, discover how high-tech the Romans were and dive deep into the Middle Ages. Be sure to see the restoration of the Roman Zwammerdam ships! Then you come through Koudekerk aan den Rijn, a beautiful village where you can see some beautiful old buildings. This is also where Oudheidkamer Koudekerk aan den Rijn is located. You can find even more museums in Leiden - you cycle along the winding canal, but you can easily go into the city for Museum Sint Anna Aalmoeshuis, for example. You cycle further through Polderpark Cronesteyn, the largest and most varied city park in Leiden. On the way back you discover the Rietveldsemolen, a polder mill from 1648.
