Cycling route: 5065790
Provided by: route.nl
Your route starts at Polderflora Camping. You cycle through Alphen aan den Rijn and pick up the beautifully winding Oude Rijn with its beautiful dikes and mills. You pass Mill 3, or the Bovenmolen, which dates from 1823. This is part of the only mill quadrangle in the world that is still in operation: the Aarlanderveen is not kept at the right level from a distance, but by a real level miller. At Zwammerdam you can see the Dikke Molen on the Oude Rijn, a polder mill from 1674. The Arkduif is a corn mill in Bodegraven, which dates from 1697. Put your bike aside for a moment to explore Bodegraven - Cheese Museum Bodegraven is a nice place to take a look! You cycle back through Alphen aan den Rijn.
Below you will find various suggestions for breaks that you can visit during your route. These are divided into different categories, making it easy for you to choose.
