Tour of Vierhouten, Hidden Village and Elspeet

Ready for a day of enjoying nature? Then take a beautiful bike ride across the Veluwe! The route starts at Bungalowpark Het Verscholen Dorp. The village of Vierhouten is an agricultural enclave in the middle of the forests. Here you can enjoy many kilometers of natural beauty. In the middle of the forest lies the Verscholen Dorp, a hiding place from 1943. Take a break at listening spot L59: Het verborgen dorp. Here you will hear the dramatic story about the secret hiding village that was founded in the forests in the spring of 1943. Three huts have been reconstructed, and some remains of the original huts can still be found. You will also cycle through the beautiful Elspeet, where you will see some beautiful authentic farms. On the gently rolling Elspeetse Heide you have beautiful views.
