During this beautiful bike ride you cycle along the flat RAVeL network and the junctions in the Chimay region and Momignies. This is a region where there is so much to experience in terms of culture and natural heritage. You cycle along numerous sights along or close to the route. If you want to see all the beauty, you can perhaps spread the route over 2 days.

The cycle route starts from Chimay, the city widely known for its delicious Chimay beer! Whoever walks through the narrow alleys in the centre of Chimay, discovers the medieval aspect of a historically rich past. The lower town has retained its medieval structure. On the Grand Place, visit the church Collegiale Saints Pierre et Paul, the 17th century triumphal arch and the fountain'La Fontaine aux Princes\\\'.

The cycle route runs via the RAVeL L109/2. This is a very nice part of the Beau Velo of the RAVeL that connects Chimay to Lobbes and goes via Beaumont and Thuin. But also via the RAVeL L156 over the railway line. This old local railway line used to connect Hermeton-sur-Meuse to Anor (France) and went via Mariembourg, Chimay and Momignies. The railway line was built on the initiative of the nobility of Chimay via the Compagnie de Chimay, of whom it was the only line.

There are some beautiful sights along the route that you really shouldn't miss. Go racing on the Circuit de Chimay or discover the history and taste the flavours of this delicious Belgian beer and cheeses in the Chimay Experience. The picturesque village of Lompret is definitely worth a visit, this village has the stamp 'one of the most beautiful villages in Wallonia'!
