Tour of Oudkarspel, Broek op Langedijk and Alkmaar

Your route starts on the edge of Alkmaar. Cycling along the Noordhollandsch Kanaal you will enjoy a historic atmosphere. From the Kanaaldijk in Koedijk you will see the Sluismolen, a polder mill from 1575. Just outside Koedijk you will cycle along the Geestmerambacht, an artificial lake surrounded by forest. By Broersen is a nice place to take a break before visiting the Regthuis Oudkarspel. This museum is located in the former town hall from 1744, that alone makes it worth it. In Broek op Langedijk you will pass the famous Broeker Veiling. In the old city center of Alkmaar there are no less than 399 national monuments - a large series of canals, old courtyards and centuries-old houses. A nice break from your bike ride!
