Tour of Weert and the De Pelen Outdoor Centre

Your route starts at De Beren Nederweert. You cycle through the countryside of Nederweert to Buitencentrum De Pelen. Here you will find all the details about National Park De Groote Peel, presented in a beautiful ecological visitors centre. Get off for a short walk! A little further on you can get off at Limburgs Openluchtmuseum Eynderhoof. You cycle further along the Moeselpeel, a marshland with willow swamp forest and reed fields that you can see beautifully from the country roads. In Weert you will see a medieval hall church, in the centuries-old town hall opposite you will now find the nice Museum W. A little further on, at the Biest, you will see Aldeborch, a medieval castle that the Franciscans later converted into a monastery. Kasteel de Nijenborgh was destroyed in 1702, a mansion was later built on its foundations.
