Tour of Schoorl and Bergen aan Zee along the farm shop

By Broersen is your starting point today. You first cycle to the pleasant Schoorl. In the artist village of Bergen you will see many beautiful stately buildings. In Museum Kranenburgh you can see the beautiful art that was made here at the beginning of the twentieth century. There is a permanent collection with works from the Bergen School. In the polders between Alkmaar and Bergen there are beautiful polder mills, such as the Wimmenumermolen from 1774. The Damlandermolen on the nice Groeneweg is the oldest: it was built in 1700. Get off here, you will pass it right by! Molen Kijkduin is located in a beautiful spot in Schoorl. This corn mill from 1772 replaced a mill from the sixteenth century. Via Bergen aan Zee and the Schoorlse Duinen you cycle along the highest dunes in the Netherlands. As your end point you will arrive at By Broersen again, a farm shop with a pick-your-own garden in the summer where you can relax with a coffee on the terrace, in the summer season. You can also visit the farm shop and buy delicious products for home use.
