Tour of Broek on Langedijk and Alkmaar

By Broersen is your starting point for today. On car-free roads you cycle past vast meadows to Oudkarspel. Here you will see some beautiful buildings, such as the Allemanskerk, the oldest parts of which date from the eleventh century. Museum Het Regthuis is located in the former town hall from 1744. In Broek op Langedijk you will pass the famous Broeker Veiling. The old village church is also a sight to behold. The old city centre of Alkmaar has no fewer than 399 national monuments! Pay a visit to the Stedelijk Museum, a nice break from your bike ride. Fans of the Bergen School movement will be in their element here. Here you will find a series of canals, old courtyards and centuries-old houses. Just outside Koedijk you will cycle past the Geestmerambacht, an artificial lake surrounded by forest.
