From Camping Huttopia Vallee de la Semois - Ardenne, follow the Semois to the village of Alle. This used to be an independent estate, which in the Middle Ages was divided between the Duke of Bouillon and the Lord of Orchimont. From the middle of the 19th century, tobacco was grown here, as in many places in this region. It is also known for its slate quarries. Ardoisalle is open to the public and worth a visit. During a 45-minute visit, you will discover the slate industry here that has now disappeared. The industrial activity stopped in 1947, since then bats have lived here. The beautiful Semois valley that you just walked through shows itself from a completely different side underground. You will see an aquifer of rare beauty, a water-bearing layer in the subsurface.
Below you will find various suggestions for breaks that you can visit during your route. These are divided into different categories, making it easy for you to choose.
