Description
In front of the entrance to the Liberation Museum Zeeland, in Nieuwdorp, lie the propeller and two guns as a tribute to the crew of the Geveerde Injun. Be sure to visit the museum, which takes you back to the Second World War, when allied soldiers of various nationalities fought against the German occupiers in Zeeland. You cycle through Zeeland villages to Middelburg, the second most important city in the Netherlands at the time of the VOC. You will still see many beautiful buildings from this period. Veere is one of the most beautiful and pleasant fortified cities in the Netherlands. You can admire beautiful monuments there, such as the Grote Kerk from 1348. The town hall with its beautiful facade dates from the fifteenth century. So get off!
