Twickel is a nice stop on the route. Old farms, stately lanes and of course Twickel Castle, take you to another time. For a long time, the castle was inhabited by various families until it became the property of Stichting Twickel in 1953. This foundation ensures the preservation of the nature reserve and cultural monument. Part of the castle is still inhabited to this day.
You can easily spend hours wandering around Landgoed Twickel, but we won't do that, because there is more beauty to see along the way! You cycle through a green and fertile environment. Many farmers live in this region, so there are several farm shops to visit along the way.
