Boschoord The route starts at the Boschoord estate. This estate is managed by the Maatschappij van Weldadigheid. This organization was founded in 1818 to give poor city dwellers the opportunity to escape their dire poverty by means of mining colonies. However, the soil around Boschoord turned out to be infertile, so it was decided to plant a forest there. Just above Noordwolde you drive through the coulisse landscape of the Lindedal and the Meenthebos.
Oldeber sales
You enter Oldeberkoop via the Koepelbos. Due to the well-preserved old buildings, this town enjoys a protected village view. Here you can see, among other things, the beautiful Bonifatius church from the twelfth century. Further on you drive along the leafy banks of the Tjonger and through the unspoilt Tjongerdal.
