Walking route Recreation area 't Blauwe Schaap

After a delicious lunch at Uitspanning't Blauwe Schaap you will have plenty of energy for a beautiful walk. First you walk to National Park Loonse & Drunense Duinen. Here you walk through a mix of heathlands and coniferous forests. And of course through the drifting sand. From junction 28 you have a beautiful view over the vast sea of sand for which this nature reserve is known. Over a leafy street you walk to the Oranjeplein in Loon op Zand. Here you see some beautiful old buildings. At the edge of the village you pass the Witte Kasteel. This moated country house was built in 1777 on the remains of a fourteenth-century castle. The last part of the route you walk on an unpaved path along fields and through forests. Time for a cozy terrace!
