Round trip to the Blue Sheep and Koningshoeven

Your route begins in the charming village of Oisterwijk. Here, you'll cycle along De Lind, with its beautiful mansions and a town hall dating from 1899. Through the Oisterwijk Forests & Fens, you'll reach the impressive Abbey of Our Lady of Koningshoeven, a Trappist monastery. In 1880, Abbot Dominicus Lacaes converted the sheepfold that stood on this site into a temporary monastery. A year later, the first Eucharist was celebrated. This is where the famous Trappist beer originated: brewing this special beer became the monks' main source of income. You'll then cycle straight through the center of Tilburg. Further on, stop for a break at the recreation center 't Blauwe Schaap! You'll return via De Strijdhoef Castle. The accompanying estate once stretched all the way from Uden to the Zandleij River.
