Your route starts in the pleasant village of Oisterwijk. Here you cycle over De Lind, with its beautiful mansions and a town hall from 1899. Via the Oisterwijkse Bossen & Vennen you cycle to the impressive Abdij Onze Lieve Vrouw van Koningshoeven, a Trappist monastery. In 1880, abbot Dominicus Lacaes converted the sheepfold that stood on this site into a temporary monastery. A year later, the first Eucharist celebration took place. This is where the famous Trappist beer originated: brewing this special beer became the main source of income for the monks. Then you cycle straight through the centre of Tilburg. Further on, stop off at Uitspanning't Blauwe Schaap! You cycle back via castle De Strijdhoef. The associated estate used to stretch all the way from Uden to the Zandleij river.
