Your route starts in Slenaken, where you first stop at restaurant LUQS for a cup of coffee. You cross the border here to the Belgian Voerstreek where you visit the village of Teuven. A little further on you cross the Gulpdal, one of the most beautiful stream valleys in the Netherlands. The Gulp is a fast-flowing tributary of the Geul. You pass the Kasteel van Beusdael, the oldest parts of which date from the fourteenth and fifteenth centuries. Then you discover the Beusdaelbos with its beautiful views. In the Teuvenerberg Forest Reserve you can find special animals such as hazel dormice, a rare dormouse. You can also see the typical sunken roads. Just before Slenaken you pass the Sint Annakapel from 1715, at the intersection of the Kerkdelstraat and Schilbergerweg.
