Your route starts at Camping Klein Haneveld. First you cycle to museum De Lebbenbrugge. The rear house dates from 1400, the transverse house at the front was added around 1550. The building once served as a farmhouse, toll farm, inn and hunting lodge for the Lords of Borculo. The oldest building in Lochem is the Sint-Gudulakerk, an originally wooden church from 950. The last major renovation took place in 1550. On the eastern edge of Lochem you pass De Cloese castle. The house dates from 1520, but has undergone a major metamorphosis three times in its history. The land on which De Cloese was built was owned by the Ter Cluses family called Reyneringh. It is therefore not difficult to guess where the house gets its name from!
