Walking route Kalmthoutse Heide

This walking route takes you through the Kalmthoutse Heide Border Park. This vast cross-border nature reserve offers plenty of variety. Before you know it, you will cross the border with Belgium, after which the asphalt quickly makes way for unpaved paths. You will walk through a mix of forest and grassy meadows. The route then takes you across the vast heathland for which this area is so famous. Here you will enjoy beautiful views and the unprecedented peace. And of course a large variety of plants, such as bell heather and gentian. The last part of the route takes you through the forests of the Staartse Heide, a sub-area of the border park. Here too, it is wonderfully quiet walking. At Brasserie de Wolf you can enjoy a well-deserved meal.
